On 2 September, the Riigikogu elected Chancellor of Justice Ülle Madise as President of the Republic of Estonia in the first round of the presidential election.

On the last day of June, 25 active young people gathered at the Office of the Chancellor of Justice to share their experiences of participation in school, community, local government and national issues that concern children and young people.

On 20–21 November, Chancellor of Justice Ülle Madise participated in the European Network of Ombudsmen Conference “Upholding a Rights-Based Europe” held in Brussels at the invitation of European Ombudsman Teresa Anjinho. This week, Chancellor of Justice Ülle Madise and her advisers visited the Astangu Vocational Rehabilitation Centre. The visit began with the observation of classes in the Edgar language immersion and vocational selection course and the assistant cook specialty, where students at the centre taught the Chancellor’s advisers how to prepare a bread dessert.
