On 2 September, the Riigikogu elected Chancellor of Justice Ülle Madise as President of the Republic of Estonia in the first round of the presidential election.
Learning begins with curiosity, with the desire to discover life and the world. This is where the joy of learning lies.
On the last day of June, 25 active young people gathered at the Office of the Chancellor of Justice to share their experiences of participation in school, community, local government and national issues that concern children and young people.
The Chancellor of Justice invited students in grades 6–12 to answer questions about what they do after school, what they would like to do, and what prevents them from doing what they would like. The questions were prompted by this year’s Estonian Human Development Report, which recommends offering young people more leisure-time opportunities on school days.
On 20 January, Liisi Uder, Head of the Rights of Persons with Disabilities at the Office of the Chancellor of Justice, took part in a discussion panel held in connection with the presentation of the children’s picture dictionary “I Can Be Disabled”.

Clear Message
The Estonian Language Institute (EKI) invites people to recognize and honour those individuals, companies, and organizations that value the beauty of the Estonian language and whose societal messages are clear and understandable through the "Selge sõnum" ("Clear Message") competition.
Chancellor of Justice Ülle Madise has been an advocate for clear language and the patron of the "Selge sõnum" competition since 2017.
Book "Human Rights"
The Office of the Chancellor of Justice has prepared the book "Human Rights", which is the first comprehensive collection in Estonian on the subject of human rights. The editor-in-chief of the book is Liiri Oja, PhD, Head of the Human Rights Department of the Office of the Chancellor of Justice.
Exhibition "One Language - Many Stories"
Chancellor of Justice Ülle Madise participated in the exhibition "One Language - Many Stories" organized by the German Embassy and spoke about what the German language has given her.

Seminar on Addressing Radicalisation of Gender Views
On 29 October 2025, the Office of the Chancellor of Justice hosted an international seminar addressing the spread of extremist attitudes toward gender roles among young people. The discussion focused on concerns that such views may endanger gender equality and social cohesion.
Training seminar on artificial intelligence and human rights
On October 15-16, ombudspersons and their advisors from 18 countries visited Estonia to discuss artificial intelligence and human rights topics.
