On 29 October 2025, the Office of the Chancellor of Justice hosted an international seminar addressing the spread of extremist attitudes toward gender roles among young people. The discussion focused on concerns that such views may endanger gender equality and social cohesion.
The event brought together representatives of national human rights institutions, civil society, academia, and public authorities from the Baltic and Nordic countries to share experiences, present research findings, and discuss ways to prevent the spread of extremist views among youth.
The seminar was part of a joint initiative by the Estonian, Latvian, and Finnish national human rights institutions, carried out under the ENNHRI Small Grants Programme and funded by the European Union’s Citizens, Equality, Rights and Values Programme (CERV Operating Grant 2025).
