Clear Message

The Estonian Language Institute (EKI) invites people to recognize and honour those individuals, companies, and organizations that value the beauty of the Estonian language and whose societal messages are clear and understandable through the "Selge sõnum" ("Clear Message") competition.

Chancellor of Justice Ülle Madise has been an advocate for clear language and the patron of the "Selge sõnum" competition since 2017.

Over the years, hundreds of public sector institutions and private companies have submitted their works to the competition. The "Selge sõnum" award has been received by many, including the Health Development Institute, LHV Bank, the Information System Authority, the Estonian Statistics, Media Laboratory Levila, the Tax and Customs Board, the National Audit Office, the Rescue Board, Tuul Sepa's "Evolutionary Biologist's Diary," Vikerraadio's "Science News," the talk show "Plekktrumm," the magazine Täheke, Pastor Annika Laats of the Risti Congregation, Helgi Erilaid, and Martin Järveoja.
