Documentary "The Birth of the Constitution"

In the film, produced for the 25th anniversary of the constitutional referendum, the birth and development of our constitution are commented on by its creators, as well as legal practitioners and theorists, former and current top Estonian politicians, and representatives of constitutional institutions.

In cooperation with the Office of the Chancellor of Justice, the Iuridicum Foundation approached the Estonian legal community in the spring with a proposal to support the production of a film capturing the importance of the Constitution. "We hoped that lawyers would share the conviction that the anniversary of the referendum on the Constitution, which has effectively served the Estonian state and people for a quarter of a century, deserves to be celebrated and the importance of the Constitution to the Estonian public once again emphasized," said Peep Pruks, Director of the Faculty of Law at the University of Tartu. "The idea of ​​the film is very good and will appeal to today's, tomorrow's and even decades-old viewers," commented Tarvo Puri, Chairman of the Chamber of Notaries.
