Drawing contest “I have a right to…”

The Ombudsman for Children Indrek Teder organised a children’s drawing contest “I have a right to…”. The aim of the contest was to draw attention to the children’s rights and increase both children’s and adults’ awareness and to get knowledge what children know about their rights.

The Chancellor received 1008 great drawings from children all over Estonia. The children draw about the matters that are most important for them – right to have a family, to have time for play, to be happy, to get education and medical aid etc. The chancellor rewarded most interesting pictures in different categories:
  • Kinder garden children
  • 1.-4. grade
  • 5.-9. grade
  • Special award in the field of environment
  • Special award for the youngest contestant
